Sega's Minako Sakanoue says target consumers are men over 20. Japan, home to almost half the world's 800,000 industrial robots, envisions a $10 billion A.I. market in a decade. E.M.A, who also hands out business cards, will strut her way to Japanese store shelves by September for about $175, and Sega hopes to sell 10,000 of the adult-oriented androids within a year.
