I would recommend the Novak HV MAXX 6.5R. It's more efficient and faster. Plus you can run 2 battery packs or lipo on it!!!

Stock is actually not as slow as I had in mind. Speed is similar to Clod Buster BTW, what servo are you using?

In the US $350 is a good price for a TXT-1.

yes stock.

No. For crawling in the truest sense of the word you need a super-slow vehicle, and for that you would use lathe motors (55t-75t, something like that). Adding faster motors to the TXT-1 will make it more unpredictable and hard to control going over rocks etc. For a general crawler/basher the emaxx is a safer bet. The stock TXT-1 isnt a great crawler to start with, and requires alot of modifications- see some cralwer forums for more details.

If I upgrade the TXT-1 motors for faster ones does that make it a bad crawler ???? For example: Will the truck in this video be bad at crawling???? I just wanna make a more versatile car that has a reasonable amount of speed and crawling ability...wouldnt the TXT-1 be more suitable?

If speed is what people want, I would suggest an upgraded Emaxx. I had the TXT-1 and it is not a suitable base for fast running & manouverability. Just my opinion though, it is still an excellent truck.

my only worry is that Ive read that most people are disappointed with the stock speed...that means I will have to upgrade motors or battery ? The HPI Wheely King is my other option since the speed stock shows a little more fun??? TXT-1 $250 US HPI W.King $245 US
