Someone tell Gothmog that he ain't got pikes to order in front of the archers. The Uruk-Hai had pikes, his orcs have got disgusting little polearms. Does anyone know if Tolkein got his inspiration of his battle from the Siege of Vienna in the C.17th? Because there are many similarities, give or take the absence of orcs and trolls.
