Turkey is a secular democratic country, despite that the majority of th population is muslims. Although I agree that countries with strong Sharia laws does not have democracy.

Dear Kild2maret. Islam is NOT compatible with democracy. There is NO country that observes Islamic Law that is democratic. There never has been. There never will be. Islamic is a Fascist/religious political system, not a "religion" as we in democratic societies understand religion.
